What's it about?
Hattie seemed to be the crowd favorite from my second novel, With What You Have, so she takes center stage in this text. It is not a sequel, but presents a later part of Hattie's life. It tells the story of Hattie's adventure out of Alabama to an exclusive island where her fiancé lives with his mother and sister. The setting bounces between Alabama and an island off the coast of South Carolina. We meet Hattie's mother and come to understand the intense characters in her fiancé's family. Hattie's hard exterior is present but her naivety remains strong and leads her down an unpredictable and hazardous road.

Hi! I'm an author who was once a high school English teacher, adjunct professor, and now works as a real estate agent! Writing has always been my passion. I am fascinated by southern culture and ideals so my stories take shape largely in the south. Many of the characters embody New Jersey energy and attitude; it's a heavenly combination.

I self-published this using Amazon's publisher. I was not great at formatting, page numbers, and the like, so the book does not present as professionally as my most recent. Despite that, I love the story and title; it will always be special to me.
